Size

36” chest size UK 12

Unfortunately I have yet to adjust this pattern to different sizes.  So for now I only have it in a size 12.  Anyone who is good at adjusting patterns can probably easily make it bigger or smaller to fit.

Back

Using 4.5mm hook chain 86 fairly loosely.

Change to 4mm hook

Repeat front up to Neck shaping.

( When you have completed Armhole shaping you should end on row 14.)

Fasten off.

Sew up sides.

Top Border

Starting under the arm. Attach yarn and make a loop. 1ch and the sc around. Working from armholes across front neck and around back.

Keep your stitches neat.

You may want to crochet 2sc into your decrease stitches to ensure its neat.

I crocheted 195 sc around. 95sc on front and 100 sc on back. This figure does not have to be exact. Just sc around to make a neat edge.

Bottom Border.

Starting at the side. Attach yarn and make a loop. 2ch,4dc into this stitch. *miss 4 stitch, 5dc into next stitch * repeat around from * to *. You should end up with 34 cluster stitches around the bottom. Sl stitch to first cluster.

Straps.

Front straps x 2

Attach yarn to front top border at corner. Slip stitch 51 chain. sc into 2nd chain from hook 49 sc across chain slip stitch into next stitch on garment next to where you attached the yarn for chain. slip stitch into next stitch. 50 sc to end of strap. Fasten off.

Back straps x 2

Do the same as for front straps but 56 chain and 55 sc stitches.

If you struggle to attach the straps as you crochet them you could always make the strap and attach it after.

Make 4 x 2” tassels and attach to end of straps.

And there you go xxxx
